In Elden Ring, Great Runes offer powerful benefits but require visiting their respective Divine Tower to fully activate the Rune's effects. In this guide, we'll cover how to find and reach every Divine Tower area so you can activate Great Runes and gain their boons.

What Are Divine Towers?

When you defeat Demigod bosses, you'll acquire their Great Rune. However, the Rune's effects aren't enabled yet. To activate a Great Rune, you must visit the corresponding Divine Tower and use a Rune Arc at its altar.

Divine Towers are ancient structures found in various areas of the Lands Between. Finding and reaching each Tower is key to unlocking the mighty powers of Great Runes you collect along your journey.

Divine Tower of Limgrave

The Divine Tower of Limgrave is located along the northern cliffs in western Limgrave, east of the Minor Erdtree. You can reach it by traveling east from the Saintsbridge Site of Grace along the cliffside.

Use Torrent to jump the gaps in the rocky path. The entrance is guarded by a Crucible Knight boss. Defeat him to gain access and use the Site of Grace inside.

This Tower activates Godrick's Great Rune from Stormveil Castle. Activating it boosts your attributes for a period of time.

Divine Tower of West Altus

This Divine Tower is situated on an island off the coast of west Altus Plateau. To reach it, go to the Secluded Cell Site of Grace in western Altus.

Head south and use the coffin transport to reach the isolated Isle of Yorn. Follow the path along the coast and use Stone Keys to open the Tower's seal.

Activating the altar inside enables Radahn's Great Rune from Redmane Castle, boosting your HP, Stamina, and Equip Load.

Divine Tower of East Altus

Found along the eastern cliffs of Altus Plateau. Travel to the Hermit Village Site of Grace in eastern Altus then go north to the cliffs.

Follow the tree roots down and use Torrent double jumps to cross gaps. Open the fog door and defeat the Magma Wyrm boss inside.

This Tower activates Rykard's Great Rune from Volcano Manor. It restores HP upon killing enemies.

Divine Tower of Liurnia

This Tower is situated on an island in the southwest of Liurnia Lake. Reach it by going south from the Mausoleum Compound Site of Grace.

Cross the stepped stones jutting from the water and use the coffin to reach the Circle of Eclipsis island. Follow the ghost flame lights to the Tower entrance.

Activating the altar inside allows the use of Rennala's Great Rune from Raya Lucaria Academy. This Elden Ring runes resets and allows re-speccing your attributes.

Divine Tower of Caelid

Found in northwest Caelid along the Dragonbarrow coastline. Travel to the Dragonbarrow Cave Site of Grace then head west along the cliffs.

Follow the scarlet rot river upstream and use stones to cross. Open the Tower's seal and ride the coffin transport inside.

This Tower enables Malenia's Great Rune from Elphael Brace of the Haligtree. It boosts HP recovery when attacking foes.

Divine Tower of Leyndell

Situated on an isolated plateau in eastern Leyndell, Royal Capital. To access it, go to the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace.

Head south past the giant crow then turn east. Look for roots leading down to the Tower plateau. Open the seal and defeat the Crucible Knight inside.

Activating this tower enables Morgott's Great Rune from Leyndell. It boosts your attributes but also increases incoming damage taken.

Divine Tower of Farum Azula

Found along the eastern cliffs of the crumbling Farum Azula. Reach it by starting from the Dragon Temple Site of Grace.

Navigate east across the collapsing rooftops. Use drops and grapple points on the large dragon ribs to reach the Tower.

This tower activates the Elden Beast's Great Rune acquired from defeating it. Grants bonus HP, Stamina and FP when activated.

Activating Multiple Great Runes

You can activate multiple Great Runes by equipping them at Sites of Grace. However, only one Rune's effect applies at any time. Use Elden Ring runes Arcs to switch which Great Rune is currently active.

With the Divine Towers reached and their Great Runes enabled, you can leverage these mighty boons in your quest to become Elden Lord.
